Commission Interviews Prior to Council Meeting
Prior to the meeting, the Council interviewed applicants for planning, parks & recreation, human rights and heritage preservation commissions. The council will announce the commission appointments at the February 3rd meeting.
Request for Proposals for Architectural and Engineering Services for Municipal Services Building
The Municipal Services Building (MSB) houses our Public Works (streets, parks, storm water, mechanics, building maintenance divisions), Electric, and Water & Sewer departments. MSB is the second building in the Building Improvement Program. Council approved staff to move forward with issuing an RFP for Architectural and Engineering Services for a new Municipal Services Building.
Ratification of Bond Sale by Chaska Economic Development Authority (EDA)
By ratifying the bond sale by the Chaska EDA, the City was able to refinance the curling center debt. This will save around $1.3 million over the course of the debt and reduces the number of years of paying debt service by 1 year.
